Invitation to "Baby Riley Stats and More Contest"

I have sent out an email to most of my email contacts inviting them to the "Baby Riley Stats and More Contest". If you did not receive the email, I have posted the rules below. Please email me your guesses by 5pm tomorrow, Tuesday April 29, 2008.

As you all may know, Amy & I are very excited that our first child is due in 3 weeks and 1 day. I wanted to send out a quick email with a little game that we will play in anticipation of his fast-approaching due date. We will call this the “Baby Riley Stats and More Contest”.

The following contest will be closed for voting on Tuesday 4/29/08 at 5pm so get your guesses in quickly. Please email me your votes. All votes will be placed on the blog, www.amyispregnant.blogspot.com for all to see. You can also catch up on our story on this website…sorry it has not been updated much over the past weeks.

1) What day will Baby Riley be born? (5 points for closest, 2 points for next closest, 1 point for third closest)

2) What time will Baby Riley be born? (10 points for closest, 5 points for next closest, 3 points for third closest)

3) How long will Baby Riley measure at birth? (5 points for closest, 2 points for next closest, 1 point for third closest)

4) How much will Baby Riley weigh at birth? (5 points for closest, 2 points for next closest, 1 point for third closest)

5) Tie Break Question: How long will it take for Kevin to drive to the hospital when Amy is in labor? This will be used in the case of a tie after tabulating the points for the first 4 questions.

The winner will get a special prize and recognition as the winner of the first “Baby Riley Stats and More Contest”.

If I have left off anyone on this email and you think they would like to take part in this game, please forward this email to them.

Good Luck to All.

Here are my guesses…they will not count towards the contest, but will give you a place to start.

1) May 16th

2) 2:31pm

3) 21 ½ inches

4) 8 lbs, 7 ½ oz

5) Normal driving time is 20 minutes, but with a wife in labor, I am going with 14 minutes & 13 seconds.

Thanks all,

Kevin

P.S. stay tuned to the blog for more updates and to see how your guesses stack up.

p.s. 6 a.m. Sorry -- I know that doesn't sound fun -- but it's just my feeling. :) Andria
